CARE
Ther most sustainable thing we can do is make intentional purchases, and care for our garments thoughtfully.
We have poured a lot of care into designing every piece, choosing natural fibers that are kinder to our earth as well as ethical production methods that align with our values. While underwear naturally needs to be replaced for hygiene reasons, we’re committed to using sustainable materials that are made to last as long as possible. Our focus is on creating quality essentials that you’ll feel good about wearing - both in how they’re made and how they make you feel.
OUR IMPACT
As a small underwear brand, we take full responsibility for everything we create.
Every piece we make has an impact — on the environment, on people, and on how we all feel in our own skin. That’s why we’re committed to doing things thoughtfully, from the first sketch to the final stitch. We carefully consider every stage of the process.
ETHICAL PRODUCTION
We work closely with both our Australian production agency, and our manufacturer to ensure ethical practices and that our workers are equitably paid. We also produce small batches which aligns with out ethos and allows us to have more control over craftsmanship, responsible production practices and amounts in less waste.
RESPONSIBLE SHIPPING
For all Australian orders we use Australia Post who offset their carbon emissions, making our shipping 100% carbon neutral.
FABRICS
We’re committed to using only high-quality natural fibres, in order to support women's health. While we believe in making better choices, we also recognise that creating any product—no matter how considered—has an impact. That’s why we encourage you to shop mindfully and choose pieces that truly align with your values.
TAGS & MARKETING MATERIAL
Our swing tags and printed marketing material are made from recycled and eco paper, and can be recycled via your curbside recycling bin.
SUSTAINABLE SHIPPING MATERIALS
Depending on your order size, orders are shipped in boxes made from 100% recycled cardboard, secured with recyclable packaging tape or in reusable, compostable satchels.
CHARITY
We donate $1 from every order to the Grace Tame Foundation.
The Grace Tame foundation advocates for legal reform, education, and cultural change to uphold every child's right to safety. Their work supports survivors of child sexual abuse and challenges the system that silences them.
This commitment is about shifting power, breaking silences and changing systems. As We Are is about feeling safe in your body and we believe in doing all we can to ensure that safety starts much earlier, and reaches much further.
